I just bought a 1972 Mercury 65hp that will not go into drive. We took the lower drive unit off and now we only get reverse and neutral. Any ideas on how to fix. Thank you
Try reading this thread, original problem is not exactly the same, but there is excellent info about how to ensure you have lower unit set up correctly and troubleshooting with the lower unit off.
