Hey guys i am wondering if you could help me out here...I am testing a mercury 225hp DFI 2003 model and i have the following problem.
When i crank the engine it starts but immediately fails...i mean immediately , you don't get to go any distance , it just cranks, starts , fails...To get it going i give it more RPM by using the handthrottle and it starts normally after a couple of cranks...I am suspecting the compression in the fuel system or some sensor kicking in and killing the engine...Any ideas?

By the way the low electric fuel pump (not the pulse fuel pump) gives me a read of 31 psi... does anyone know the specifications for the pressure in the low electric fuel pump , the high electric fuel pump and the pulse fuel pump (low fuel pump)?
