71 mERCURY 135 HP 6 CYL WILL NOT FIRE

I have recently bought a 71 Mercury outboard, 135 HP, 6 Cylinder. Every looks great except I cannot get any spark.

JB, There is a test for the distributor ignition on that motor. You might search for it. Make sure you have +12VDC on the red and adjacent white wires on the switchbox, when the key is in the run position. No juice=no spark
