100 hp MERCURY GONE BAD AGIAN

Please help,my outboard lost bottom two cylinders.i replaced the stater and the power pack less than 10 hours ago.what should i be looking for now.it runs good at an idle,but doesnt have any power now.it is 1989 4 cylinder ,100 hp mercury.we put in river,ran really good for about a mile,maxed out at 5000 rpm,backed off in curves for safty and then gave it gas agian,that time it had no power,pulled spark plugs and bottom two were wet.what should i check now?

you may have a wiring issue causing power packs to short check all wiring, could have a carb issue or fuel blockage leading to the cyl's not firing good luck

Check the coils as if ferrite is cracked or loosing ground it can cause a spike to pack damaging SCR's, also check trigger as it also could be bad. Was the stator and pack new?

yes ,the stater and power pack were new.there was a pinched wire behind the power pack.i thought that might had caused last problem.
