The powerhead must come of, you will have to split the block half's as the reed block are clamped around the crankshaft.
Picture of a bigger engine ( inline 6, 140hp ), but it's the same construction, in this picture 2 out of 3 reed blocks are installed ( your 9.8 only got one ) one at the center and the other one are on the ringt side.
