My neighbor got this motor with the control and cables but we can't figure out how the cables lock to the clamp on the motor. We found a manual for the motor and it shows a round brass barrel connector screwed to the cable that gets locked into the bracket but the cables we got with the motor do not have the brass barrels or even a place to screw them on. The motor and cables all came off the same boat so I am assuming that there may be some missing pieces or the previous owner replaced the orginal cables and rigged something. I hope the pics make the situation clear.
