1995 Mercury 40HP Fuel Oil Ratio

Just bought a 1995 Starcraft with a 1995 Mercury 40HP and the oil injector is broken. Can someone please tell me the proper fuel to oil ratio? Also, I am getting just a drip of water instead of a stream. Can anyone tell me how to test to see if the water pump is bad. I think the line may be stopped up. Thanks.

50 to 1, pull the hose off the telltale and start the engine to see if it'd plugged

Thanks for the ratio info.

The hose was blocked and we cleared it. At first no water came out at all, then it appeared to steam and then it would drip water. We've only ran it about 20 -30 seconds before shutting it off (didn't want to damage anything). I've read something about thermostats, do I need to run it a little longer to see if it is a stat (don't know if it even has them)
