what power head will bolt up to my lower unit

i have a 95 mercury 150 xri 2.5 that is blown wondering what power heads will bolt up to the lower unit

Just about any of the V-6 powerheads will mount to midsection but I myself would stay with a 2.4 or 2.5 liter block. This will include the following engines:
1988-91......... Xr4
1992-05......... Xr6
1987-1991...... 2.4 175 hp
1989-90 .........2.4 200hp
1991-05 .........2.5 200hp
This is for a complete bolt on powerhead ,if your looking for a block it will have to be a 2.5 150/175hp.

What Fb says. Any will bolt up and work but tha one thing you need to look for with any choice you make is the exhaust openings on your block/adapter plate and tha replacement block your gonna use. Your block has tha large, rectangle shaped holes. Tha earlier 2.4's will probably have smaller, almost square holes. You can use tha mismatched openings with a little work on tha block and tha good metal reinforced powerhead gasket. You can run it with mismatched holes without doin' anything with the above gasket and it will last a long time. Just better ta match 'em if possible. Another solution is to use tha replacement motor adapter plate (both pieces) if it has tha smaller holes...................
