1979 115 Mercury shifter lining up problems

I had lower unit off for repairs (done by professional) & put the lower unit into neutral detent before installing. I could spin prop and control was in neutral too. Now when it's together, neutral is there and reverse, but FWD is neutral now as well.. what did I do wrong?

I got my problem fixed! When I bought the boat, the previous owner said he had had problems with the shifting too.. I found out the reverse lock rod was adjusted too long and would not let it shift all the way.
