Mercury 1978 40hp 402 flywheel

Hello All,

We have had this problem no spark problem for awhile, the trigger we found what was the no spark problem since it was broken in two. My big question is that I have been reading that since he removed the flywheel we should of marked the flywheel so the timimg will be the same. We have not moved the shaft were the flywheel mounts to but we will have to remove the shaft in order to install the new trigger. Any help here would be GREAT !!!

As long as parts 32, 35, & 36 remain at the same relationship you should be ok

Do a final timing check to double check and your off to to the water.
