We are looking at getting a boat with a 150HP 1998 Mercury Offshore motor. I had just assumed it is EFI, but it doesn't say so on the cowling. Does anyone know if this motor is EFI or carb or how I can find out (not sure the current owner actually knows)?
Also the motor apparently has very low original hours (under 100). Anything I should look out for on an 11 year old motor that has hardly been used?
Any comments in general on the motor would be great as well. It would be pushing a 3000lb 21' CC. Current owner says it'll do 35knots at WOT.
