I have a 1992, mariner. The motor is new to me, when installing the motor I noticed there was a wired that had been cut and I can NOT find out where it should be attached. I do have a Clymers, but its not helping me out very much.......or I am just not able to locate it in the manual. I have hoping to attach two pictures so if someone can help me identify it I would appreciate it, I am looking at the RED one with a fuse holder that has been cut. Any help would be appreciated.

sorry, see if these are different.

Re: 115 Mariner - Red Wire Identification HELP

I have 2 red wires with inline fuse holders also on my 86 150hp and one of them goes to the + side of the rectifier with a 20 amp fuse inline and the other was attacked to my trim solonoids but mine was cut also and i just taped it off and tucked it away and my electrical system and engine have been working fine like this.

I think it has something to do with the trimming system, but im not sure.

Does anything not work that you can investigate?

Thanks for the help....everything works fine, motor, tilt/trim.....but since it has a fuse line I wanted to make sure I wasn't going to screw something up. Thanks
