I want to check if my oil pump is working, but need to run the motor. Is there a recommended oil to gas ratio that I can use to premix with the gas. Also if for any reason I wanted to bypass the oil injection permanently, first is this recommended, second what would need to be disconnected in order to accomplish this. Reason is that if I continue to have problems,it might be easier just to premix the gas and forget the injection system. Thanks

 EEEEEEK!!

NO, NO, NO!!

Optis are DFI engines. The oil goes to the crankcase, the fuel to the cylinder. If you mess with that arrangement you will (read WILL) blow her up.

JB: Are you saying he can't bypass the injection system and premix?

Exactly, James.

In Direct Fuel Injected engines like the Opti, ETEC, HDPI, etc., the gas is fed directly and only to the cylinders. Oil is pumped to the crankcase, completely independent of what is happening with the gas.
