Hello,
I have a Mariner 1999 50hp 4 Stroke which I have rebuilt, and allthow I have a manual, the only mention of timing is to allign the #1 mark on the camshaft pulley and the point on the head, and the #1 mark on the crankshaft pulley and the mark on the block.

On the motor there is a #1 and mark on the camshaft pully and mark on the head, however there is only a number 1 towards the centre of the crankshaft pulley.

I believe the timing mark is part of the Stator/CPS mount, which points to the lower section of the crankshaft pulley. I can see timing or advance marks on there, however there are several with the numbers, 35, 25, 50. Would like to know which mark to allign with the camshaft pulley at number 1. 35 and 25 each have 2 marks beside them and 50 has 3.

Any help would be greatfull.

Also, is it possible to fit a normal lower unit onto a bigfoot motor?
