Question about Oil Sensor - Alarm started sounding at the helm, which has been taken care of before by refilling the oil tank. This time, the alarm continued to sound, with the oil tank full. Alarm would sound even when we just turned the key, without cranking the engine. So we found the wires at the bottom of the oil tank - disconnected them, and alarm turned off! Hooray! we actually semi-fixed something, now the question - is this an easy part to replace, and can a father and son team with limited mechanical experience do this ourselves? Or are we better off finding a mechanic to do this for us? We would really love to learn how to take care of this engine, so any help would be appreciated. If there are any good websites for wannabe do-it yourselfers, please let me know.
Cheers.

The magnet has came off the float inside the tank and the only repair is to replace the tank.

Wrenches (to replace the tank) and rags (to clean up the oil you'll spill)

No big deal.

hope it helps
