Is it difficult to change the wp on this outboard? I was a mech for a lot of years but never worked on a outboard.

It is not a difficult procedure. It is best to get a manual and read up first. No special tools are required, and you will likely need to replace only gaskets, orings and the impeller and Stainless Steel base plate

Do a search here, there are several threads that deal w/it and some w/links to pages that will tell or show the procedure. As Chris said, realitive simple procedure. Make sure you get all the visible bolts and then one under the trim tab. You have to remove the trim tab thru the hole on top, it usually has a plastic cap on it. Use an extention w/locking type release otherwise you may just end up leaving the socket in the hole.
