the tell tail nozzle "help

hi i have a 1988 mercury classic 50 hp that i run on my bass tracker i start it up about once a week ,,but this week when it was running ,,there was no water coming from the tell tail nozzle,,,if the is a stoppage or if somthing else is messed up ,,is the a way of flushing it out or a trouble shooting answer??? any help would bee nice thank you

Normaly I would say you better check the pump. If is is not putting out water,which is what a teltale is telling you, I wouldn't run it till it does. That being said, it could be a muddobber has built a nest in it. Take a piece of grass trimmer string and run it up the tube. If that doesn't do it, drop the lower unit and replace the impeller.
