Just got this motor yesterday, (Mariner 30HP tiller with electric start) got it home and I don't see a shallow tilt lever on it? Did these not come with this lever? I see the spot on the motor where they typically are, looks like there was something there at one time. I would think that they would have had to have this lever. Seriel # is 689 S 109043, I believe its an 88. How much am I looking at spending to get this lever? Its something that is absolutley needed! Any help would be apreciated! Thanks

Re: 30 HP Mariner tiller, no shallow tilt lever?

I have a mid 90's and the shallow drive on it can come off pretty easy if it's bent at all. It's just held in under pressure. I bend the arm on mine by accidently giveing it full throttle while still in shallow drive. I had a hard time loweirn git after and when I got back to the ramp the assembly was just sitting there loose in between the motor and bracket.
