Thanks alot. Is there any place on the internet that a guy can run the model number or serial to find any information about the year of this motor for sure? Maybe even a place to look for a book for this motor? Thanks again.

Re: 1983? Mercury 2 Stroke Fuel/Oil Mixture

Thanks for the welcome and the pages Eric. I guess I have been to a couple of them allready, but I could never find the exact number. I have found a couple with the "A" designation, but the numbers are way higher so was not sure what to think. Maybe I am reading into it wrong, lol. From what I can tell, the A means it was made in Canada. I have a 1983 Lund Pike, on a 1982 Shorelander trailer, with a motor I am not quite sure of the year on,lol.........what a buffet. Thanks again.

Did you get the serial # off of the swivel bracket?

The "A" does not necessarily mean it is a Canadian built motor. They used that for the US built motors as well.

Mercury site verifies 75hp designation based on serial number provided

Serial No. 0A169425 Model Number: 1075625

It is a 1985 4cyl 75HP Mercury motor, built in the USA

For reference:
1985 serials started at 6613221
1986 serials started at A197882
