I recently recieved a little Mercury 3.0 that has a fuel tank above the outboard. When screwing on the cap to it last time I discovered that the part of the tank where the threads to the cap are partially broke off allowing a healthy cascade of fuel to flow any time the motor is tilted. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to patch the plastic around the threaded part of the tank that could withstand gasoline without breaking down. Any and all ideas are greatly appreciated!
