50 h.p. mariner switch box

is there any way of testing the switch box on my 1987 50 h.p. mariner to see if it is still good i have replace the statter, trigger and retifier have tested the coils and it still will not fire every thing has been tested or replace except the switch box please can any one help i don't want to send any more money buying a switch box if i don't need one.

Welcome to iboats. :) <br /><br />You need a voltmeter with a built-in DVA or a standard voltmeter plus a DVA adapter. Without that, test all the other components. If they all test good, then it must be the switchbox. That wouldn't be at all unusual. They're probably the least reliable of all the ignition components with the Stator holding a strong second. But if the Stator goes, it affects spark on all the cylinders, not just one.
