hello , l have just bought a 70 hp mercury prob about 80s model serial number 9082318 3 cylinder twin carb . This motor ran great on her first run then started to give us the impression she was missing a little you know like when we were flat out at full rpm we got slight hesitations , any way we went home and took her out the next day,the next day it ran great for about 2-3 min then we had very bad missing and wouldent take the power , we had a compession check and spark check by the local marine dealer . i noticed the engine getting very hard to start until you sqeezed the bulb hard and until the fuel gushed out of the carbs ( is this normal) and would only start on choke . also we are getting a lot of smoke on full rpm that you cant see 10ft in front of you , what is the oil mix ratio for a 22 liter fuel tank . if you need more info give me a email<br /> www.donttouchthebeer@aol.com
