Yes the stabilizer will make a world of difference when getting on plane. I had a 16 foot fiberglass boat with a 50 merc, it couldn't get on plane with 2 people unless one would sit up front. After I put the stabilizer on it would jump out of the hole with even 4 at the back of the boat. It also keeps the boat from porposing. I would recomend these stabilizers to anyone with 150 or less.
