1960 mercury lower unit

I have a 1960 keikhaefer model merc 150 15 horse outboard. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what kind of lower unit oil would be best. thanks.

Personally, I like to use the engine manufactures brand. It cost more but you don't use that much. Mercury makes two types, high performance and regular. I'd use the regular type in your lower unit.<br /><br />c/6<br /><br />Hooty

Thanks for the info. Could anyone tell me what fuel mix I should be using. I have been using 50:1 but some of the other posts I've read suggest using 25:1 for older motors???
