WHOA!!<br />Don't start buying new batteries and parts until you KNOW what the problem is.<br /><br />Put a voltmeter on the starter and try her out. If the voltage is over about 8 volts your battery is not at fault. Now measure at your battery, same criteria.<br /><br />If the battery voltage is more than about 1 volt higher than the voltage at the starter you have a poor connection in the high current circuit.<br /><br />If the starter is getting over 8 volts, lubricate the bendix mechanism that raises the gear.<br /><br />Only if your battery voltage drops below about 8 volts when the starter is engaged should you consider changing batteries, and then only if it is fully charged.<br /><br />Good luck.
