Hello, I have recentely aquired a pontoon boat with a 2005 50 hp mercury 4stroke SN 1B282668. After some reasearch on what the part is called I learned it is a fuel cooler? It is leaking fuel from the top, there seems to be a top cover plate with two screws holding it on and I have been trying to find out if there are replaceable o-rings or a gasket that is available to repair it. I have seen the part is quite expensive so I wanted to see if it was repairable. Thank's in advance for the help.

Yes, you can fix it yourself very easy and cheap.
We have twin 115hp EFI ours has a fuel hose with a hose clamp on the fuel and water inlet and outlet.
You need to diagnose exactly where the leak is, not easy sometimes, is it a fuel or water cooling leak,
Then take it apart and fix it, order any parts you need online, you know what parts you need and what they look like.
You could try a you tube search, watch all the videos.
Be very careful if its a fuel leak, have a fire extinguisher in your hand.
