You are lucky. There are aftermarket pistons and kits available for that motor try WSM pistons. They must be for a Mercosil block and not for the chrome block.
My pistons came today. I ended up ordering 2. Since they were $100 each. From WSM. My only concern is how to tell if they are for a chrome block or for a Mercosil? They match up with the old ones and heading to the shop tomorrow.
Thanks for the info. I definitely didn't know. Never bought pistons in my life. The shop has everything completed. Picking up tomorrow. Then putting it all back together. Now in my Seloc repair manual. It says to use loctite 271 on certain bolts. That's the permanent stuff. Do you guy's ever or have used that grade of loctite? Is it necessary?
