1980s Mercury 1150 Tower of Power ( Been sitting for a few years ) ???????

​Well after draining old fuel and replacing all spark plugs and spraying carby cleaner in the carbs.
She will start after a minute of trying
​Once she starts and warms up she idles ok
I took her out to the lake last weekend
​After about half throttle she started breaking down ( it felt electrical ) would not stall but missing ???
Is their any basics I can check on the electrical side first like I said been sitting for a few years and has seen a lot of salt water.
Your comments would be greatly appreciated

After sitting a long time, I would start checking electrical by rebuilding the carbs. Spraying "carb cleaner" doesn't really clean much. And check the compression.

Got the serial number to narrow down which of 10 years in the 80's?

When a motor sits for a long time there's a list of things you need to do, so there are not any problems on the water, you don't want to get stuck out there. I don't want to write the long list if your not interested its a long list.
