I have removed my power trim unit waiting for parts and to repair it .

My question, can I still use the boat on a manual trim like I do with my 9.9 and if so, how would I rig that up?

Can i use a TILT TRIM PIN? or something like that to manually set the trim to a stationary setting?

don't think it has a "lockin' mechanism" like older and/or smaller stuff.. reverse would be useless... probably flop around like a loose tooth.. i'm thinkin' ya removed tha whole thing between tha clamp brackets?.. if you didn't then absolutely not!

Yes, reverse will be a problem, unless you go dead slow, and maybe have someone lean on the motor cover to hold her down. Use a tilt pin for forward thrust, and that should be fine.

Also, you will want to slow down gently to keep the motor from popping up as well.

There is a lock pin bolt and there are holes that will secure the motor to the transom mount so it is possible. I was hoping there was a clip rather than a bolt.

Turns out the trim motor kit came yesterday and I installed that so it works now..
