I have what appears to be a1989 merc 3 cylinder 60hp 2 stroke, but when I enter the serial # for parts it says not found there doesn't seem to be a model # ,I have the original sales receipt that states 1989, attached are a couple of pics, ( oh wow I'm not authorized to upload attachments )so the serial # is oc161746, also when I do a compression test I'm getting about 108 PSI on all three cylinders can anyone say weather that's acceptable or not. also is there another outboard forum thats better than this one
Thanks for your input

welcome aboard.

you need a few more posts prior to being able to upload pics. after that, resize them to under 400kb and you will have no problem

the fact that all 3 cylinders are the same is good. are the test results with the motor sitting for a while and cold, or after the motor was run? 108 is a bit low, however could be your gauge, the motor could have been cold and sat for a while.

Hi there, welcome to iboats!!

Your serial number matches the info on your sales receipt as the number is coming up as an 1989 MERCURY 60-HP, Model number 10604129D (3 CYLINDER).
Here's a few parts diagram for you for your engine model,
