Long story short ...
I have an 05 Optimax 90 that I changed the prop on this year .. Had a 3 blade 19 pitch prop that would over rev before getting to WOT .
So this year I put my numbers into Mercury prop selector and bought a tempest 4 blade 21 pitch SS prop.
Now my issue is that I can't use WOT (get to about 5400 rpm ) but after about 15 seconds it blows the main 20 amp fuse.
So could it be the engine is over working with this prop ? ....No warning chimes or anything . Gets to plane nice and good mid range cruise .Just does seem to want to take extra throttle on top end.
