I just wanted to clarify that I do not need a oil pressure gauge for my two stroke, I would like to mount a depth gauge in its place.

That's not oil pressure.
Looks like it's set up for water pressure which I think is used to make sure motor is cooling properly.
Your call.

You're right, oil pressure gauge isn't needed on a 2 stroke.

Hard to tell in the pic, but it looks like the line is teed into the tell-tell hose. So the gauge is probably for water pressure, not oil pressure. 15 PSI is pretty low for oil pressure.

We get into discussions about the need for monitoring water pressure, but in my opinion, plug the line and stick the depth gauge in the dash.

Gee, I think water pressure is very important. Can you put the depth gauge somewhere else? Maybe get a fishfinder, as they have water depth and now have GPS speed.

OK, water pressure, that makes sense. Owners manual doesn't cover that. I will figure out another location for the depth gauge.
