So here's the story: I posted a boat without a motor online for sale or trade for a 80hp-115hp motor. Someone messaged me with the motor in the pic below and said it was a late 80's Mercury 80hp, also said it was redone last year. From Google images it looks to me to be from the 60's but I'm not positive and was hoping someone could clarify that for me. Thanks!

I'll probably end up passing on it, especially bc I'm not able to see it run. Reason I'm trying to trade a boat for a motor is bc I don't think the 50hp Merc I have will get the 16' Ozark T163 tri-hull on plane, I could be wrong though. Plus I won't be using the boat I'm trying to trade that much since I have the tri-hull and then also have my little aluminium, I think 3 boats is to much lol. I could sell the 50hp or add it to the boat I'm trying to trade and sell as a package but it's such a nice motor that I can't part with it.

There was a Merc 800 in 1960 and 1961, in 1962 it became an 850 for one year.
76 cubic inches
rpm range 4800 - 5200
