I bought a 1994 Sylvan with a 1994 40 hp Mercury outboard. Everything was working great until today when all of a sudden the trim wouldn't work. Either up or down. Both throttle trim button and button on motor. I was driving over to the ramp to take boat out and all of a sudden the trim is working again. I get boat out and take back home and I try trim button again and not working. I might hear one click noise when in press trim button, but it's not constant like I've been reading with other people's problems with the tilt/trim. There was nothing prior happening that would lead me to believe that this was going bad. Any ideas what's going on? Relay, solenoid, of bad connection somewhere? Thanks for any advice
