2001 Mercury 75 HP 2 stroke Trim tab problems

[FONT=&quot]Hello everyone. I had 2 mechanics tell me to post on here and I should find the answer. Both did not know what the problem was/is.. Thank you in advance.

The trim button works (up/down) on the throttle, the bow and on the side of the motor. but when i place the throttle in forward or reverse at less than idle speed...the motor will not trim up or down via the throttle. Thought?[/FONT]

Darn good place to start. Lower the trim and hold the up button as the throttle is moved fore and aft. See if there are working and nonworking throttle positions

You need two new mechanics, cloud. LOL Welcome aboard.

Thx guys. I hold the trim up while placing the throttle in forward... it's stops trimmming as soon as I hear it "click" into gear. Grrrrr
