I know this topic has come up regularly, but wanted to get some thoughts on one part of this that has me puzzled. I researched my cooling issue at length and determined the plastic washer at the top of the water tube had melted, which it did.

I pulled out the melted piece and replaced the small seal. while the power head was out I went through the water passages under the exhaust cover and spark plug cover. I found no blockages or torn apart gaskets where the water flows.

after assembly I connected the the water pipe directly to the hose with the lower unity off. pulled the thermostat cover and found that water was now getting to the thermostat, but the issue is that I can't get any water to come out of the tell tale while pushing water directly into the water tube. No blockages internally or through the hose leading out the tell tale...not torn gaskets..etc. Is there anything I might be missing...secret passages..something?

Thanks!

The plastic piece the tt hose goes to that exits the pan can get obstructed.

one question is the motor hot or cold when trying that on the hose
