I bought this rig from a dealer. They said the motor was good. The work sheet says 160 straight across the board for compression on all 4 cylinders. Had problem getting it on plane, I had to trim it up to achieve plane. I ended calling old owner and he told me that the dealership was going to switch the powerhead on it when he traded it for a new one. Well to make along story short, Find out that the motor was full of calcium buildup. The dealer cleaned out a coffee can full of the buildup and changed the head on it. Mind you I don't have 10 hours on this motor and the compression is down 30# on the bottom cylinder. Do you suppose the new head blow out the rings? That or carbon in between the valve, or bad head gasket or crack in the head. Any comments would be great. Thanks
