1984 75hp mariner 4 cylinder cooling system

My motor is not peeing at all using muffs. I cannot find any diagrams to locate the thermostat. I have a water pump rebuild kit I am going to install but am wondering if it could be the thermostat. any help would be appreciated.

There is no thermostat on those !-------Replace impeller and clean out the hose / fitting on indicator.-------That impeller should be repaced every 3 years too.
