Mercury150 HP Black Max Wire ID Help

Hi Folks,

New to the forum. Just bought a boat with a 150hp Black Max 2.0L. Noticed this wire is broke or cut. See pics. It is the brownish one with white stripe and runs along the the mount area.. in pics you see it is screwed down and has black covering on it. Also, you see from the pic that it runs into harness with the blue and green wires.

Anyone know what it is?

Pic doesn't show much for me, but should be one of these two (no serial number mentioned)
S/N 5124981 to 5363918

Or S/N 5363919 to 5464484

It does appear to be the trim wiring

Thanks. Serial number on the motor is A933132. Not sure if it's the same. The trim is working fine so not sure if that's it.

Don't know my self but in looking at Boatinfo I'm unable to find one with your serial number.

Thanks Fazbullet. The power trim still works so I am confused as to why that is so if that wire is cut / broke? Should that wire continue on up to the to the trim button? Thanks

Again not an expert but it could be for the trim limit and it has been bypassed. Either that or not installed and wire was damaged by something later

Thats the wire from the potentiometer to make trim gauge work..haves nothing to do with actual trim operation.
