I have one of those plastic threaded oil/water sensor that I am trying to replace on my 90HP Mercury engine. The threaded portion is stuck and have added some WD40 to loosen but is not working yet. Afraid of breaking it. Is there a trick to removing this? Have tried a properly sized wrench but it just bends around the plastic nut?

Plastic nut has now broken off and fell off.
Am now trying to remove plastic threaded portion stuck in the engine.
Any ideas of how to make this easier without taking it in to a mechanic?

It would be helpful to know year and model...1999 90hp elpto, 2002 90hp optimax, 20005 90hp 4 stroke, etc.?

2006 90HP Mercury Optimax.
I am thinking of drilling it out but not sure if I would damage what is behind, or leave some remnants that may not be good?
