My smart guage on my 2006 optimax gave me a error message of fault ignition when I am idling about 100 to 1300 rpm. The engine seems to be missing once it warms up. It seems to work fine at 25 to 50 mph. my mechanic did a ddt test that said "ecm trigger 4 short". we replaced coil pack and coil driver on number 4 cylinder. It is still doing the same thing. I contacted Mercury tech support and they are the ones that said the coil or coil driver need to be replaced. We tested each cylinder for spark and they all had it. Any suggestions. Ken
