2004 Mercury 125 HP Saltwater 2-stroke questions

Saw a boat that I am interested with a 2004 Mercury saltwater 2-stroke. Would prefer a 4-stroke, but the boat I am looking for doesn't come up on the used market often, so I may settle for the 2-stroke. Were these Mercs oil injected at the time? How are they for noise and reliability?

What motor is it a 4 cylinder or 3 cylinder I don't remember the year they went to the optimax both will be oil injected. If it is the 4 cylinder 2+2 model make sure you test drive it. That motor idles on the top 2 cylinders and the other 2 kick in about 1800 rpm make sure that is all working correctly. I had one still one of my favorite motors I wish I still had it. If it is an opti good motor still test drive it.
