Hello everyone, short and sweet. I acquired a 19?? (Serial # oa112008) Mercury 9.8 in decent condition but sitting awhile. Problem, put in barrel and got running real well but eng never peeded. I Looked under the screen and see what looks like all the tips to the water pump fins under it (screw still frozen in screen). I am new to this smaller merc outboard. Is this simple water pump change? How did they get there? Is this a more serious issue on this motor or just common problem? Thanks in advance for your time.
P.S. Motor was passed down to me from my stepdad so I do not have any history of the motor.
