I have an old 1975 850 that the trim limit switch does not function correctly, and I am looking for some information on how to get to the switch for replacing it....

I have searched the internet, and all the links lead to mercruisers and newer outboards, but nothing found for this "old" stuff. thank you

I doub't those are replaceable. We usually just bypass them. You can usually disconnect the bullet connector in the PTT harness and put a jumper wire between them.

It's a micro-switch, take the housing apart and maybe it's just stuck from old grease or find one to replace it.
It's a nice thing to have working.
