I am working on a Merc 800 80 4cyl, S/N 5583341. I have trouble starting , I think flooding? I can squeeze the bulb until it gets hard and keep (slightly reduced) pressure on it and it goes down.Looks like the carbs are flooding. So I have the new needle and seats, gasket kit and purchase new jets. I did not know at the time my carbs are a WM-10-3 and a WM-12-1.
One has a .082 jet and one has a .090. In the high speed holes.
One has no jet in the vent and one has a .072 in the vent.
I have a .092 and (2) .082 new jets that I ordered thinking that the .082 would work in my high speed jets. I'm not really sure how I ended up with a .092 but can I put that one in the vent hole? Leave it completely out like it was?
Will the two .082 high speed jets work in both carbs OK. In the WM10 and WM12?
Sorry for the confused post. Thanks for any advice or opinions.
