Mercury Outboard Lower Unit Oil Seal Position

I need help putting in the oil seats in the water pump base. I know the bigger seal goes on top and the smaller one is post to be on the bottom but I don't know what side both are them post to be up and down. So I don't know if the bigger seal open side is post to be up or down and same thing for the smaller seal. If you need me to say it and to make it more clearer let me know. Thanks

The thinner seal goes in first with the lips facing the impeller, the larger one goes in next with the lips facing toward the lower unit. Use Loctite on the seal frames.
