I am looking at buying a boat with a 2001 Mercury Optimax 225 XL Saltwater engine that has 516 hours on it. Does anyone have any experience with this motor and know if it is good/bad or should I run form it. I did see they had a class action lawsuit back in the day but not sure if this motor was included. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
