mercury 9.9 tiller handle

94 mercury 9.9 trying to convert from remote to tiller handle having hard time figuring out route of cables and where cables mount to motor and also do I need special clips to hook to throttle and shifter

goto the main mercury page and 3rd sticky down. post made by don s click on that link. goto boat info library. look up your motor and that should help.

If you only have the tiller handle that is not enough. The assembly for the cables needs to come off and the tiller assembly for throttle and shifting needs to be bolted on. With the tiller your shifting and throttle is in the handle. When I make this conversion I usually buy a burned up motor the 25 Hp show up quite a bit with bad powerheads. Put a pic up of what you have

You are missing pretty much missing everything you need. Find a parts motor or sell yours and find a tiller motor. Mercuries are not that easy to convert over
