I would like to know if anyone has found a way to convert the point type distributor to electronic type ignition for these old Inline 6 outboards.

I use GM HEI modules they work wonderful just have to cut the condenser wires. Did a 6 inline 90 hp last year 1966
goes like a scared rabbit now
just lookup points conversion for small engines on goggle
cost was the price of two modules and points last milliamps vs full current

Welcome aboard.

You gotta show that off. Willie. Any details? Found stuff for lawn mowers, but no Merc conversions.
