Hi Guys

I have a problem with this outboard - it won't take full throttle. It runs fine i low rpm and in idle as you can see in the video.

I have done this:

cleaned up the carburator
checked the plugs
cleaned the filter for the fuel

looked for the condenser under the flywheel but this model does not have any.

I also tryit to squeeze the ball when it hits the high RPM but with no result - so i dont think its a fuel problem.

I am stuck here - please help.

regards Jon

Disconnect the fuel input line at the carb. Squeeze the bulb and check the fuel flow. Do you get a good surge of fuel when you pump it or not. If not restriction in the fuel supply somewhere. Have you diddled with the linkage before you had this problem? Does the engine continue to run smoothly but just doesn't accelerate? Are you running on the same boat and under identical conditions like when it did work? Has the engine been sitting up for awhile?
